In Transition: A Webpage
being The Story Of A Young Transman
As He Journeys Into Manhood, And The Complications Thereof.
I
won't get into details here; this site is mostly for storage of my
vocal files - recordings I've made over time to document how
testosterone has changed the way I sound. I don't have enough server
space here to put up images, so you'll just have to be content with
wondering what I look like... kind of like we all wonder about disk
jockeys. Ever notice that the guys with the really sexy voices always
look like really scary computer geeks?
This was me
on March 16, 2004 - one day after my first shot of testostosterone. I'm
reading a definition a friend suggested.
Me on March
19th. So I was a little excited. So sue me. This is very obviously me
forcing a lower range than I'm really capable of achieving.
March 28th.
I'm starting to get a bit of gravel, but it's still obviously forced
downwards...
After that, I
had a series of computer problems, and until the incident described in
this file, it didn't occur to me to make another recording. So this is
about three months later:
Me
on June 26th, a much longer file (no definitions here!) and not forced.
In my head it still sounds to me like the first file, so hearing it was
quite a shock.
I figure I'll
be making one recording every three months, or so. Any closer together
and they're all the same voice anyway.
I've tried keeping a weblog on two different pages besides my
LiveJournal, but nothing else seems to work as well as LJ for me, so
I'm going to stick to that for documenting my transition. I might
create a few pages for this site, but apart from vocal files, don't
expect many updates, folks.
So, there it is.
